Indian wedding film: the warm, cinematic grade of the teaser
The grade of today's Indian wedding films, brought to stills: rich but soft blacks, clean whites, golden highlights, a little more contrast and greens pulled to olive. Silk, gold, kumkum and the stage lights keep their colour, and skin stays warm.
One of the six looks made for Indian weddings, region by region. You choose it per project; CullTone never picks it from the people in the frame.
True to cameraIndian wedding film
Drag to compare. Left of the line is True to camera, the plainest look; right of it is Indian wedding film at full strength, rendered from the same file.
| What it does | Golden highlights, rich soft blacks, clean whites, olive greens, silk and gold kept rich |

When we'd reach for it
Candid coverage of the whole day, and stills that will sit next to the wedding film or its teaser.
When we wouldn't
A cool, white-themed reception you want to keep cool: the golden highlights warm the whites.
The recipe
These are the settings stored in the look, drawn rather than listed. They sit on top of your camera's own colour and the exposure and white balance CullTone sets for each photo, so the same look lands a little differently on every frame.
Every look has a strength from 0 to 1.5. At 0 you get the plain camera-matched edit, at 1 the look as drawn here, and above 1 more of everything it does. More on reading curves in tone curves for photographers.
