Guests and a couple dancing among sparklers on a party dance floor

Event photography culling for six hundred frames of one keynote

You covered both days of the conference and the client wants the keynote photos tonight. The 80 frames worth sending differ from the other 520 by a raised hand and a half-finished sentence. CullTone's event preset finds them, keeps the stage light as it was, and makes sure everyone who was there shows up.

Coverage first

A guest you haven't shown yet, or the speaker at a new moment, counts for more than a slightly sharper repeat of the same pose.

Ballroom light left alone

Dark stage and ballroom light is treated as intended, and ISO up to 12,800 passes without a noise flag.

The speaker, even when small

When the presenter is a speck behind a lectern, CullTone finds the person and judges focus there, so a crisp lectern doesn't beat a soft speaker.

How the event preset differs from a wedding

At an event, coverage beats polish. Within a burst CullTone still keeps one frame, but across the day it favours new faces and new moments, so the client sees the room as it was.

Two of the 54 looks suit corporate work: Event punchy (firm contrast, open shadows, spotlights held back) and Editorial clean (neutral colour, nothing stylised). Parties tend to like the warmer looks. You choose; CullTone never picks a look from what's in the photos. Dark rooms deserve a glance: grain can pass for sharpness, so at a dim reception give the closest bursts a look in Review. Every reason a frame can carry is on the culling page.

Same-evening delivery

The cull runs on your Mac while you pack the lights, decisions appear as it goes, and the gallery is ready once you approve the edits. A bigger card on a smaller Mac takes longer, so start the import before the venue clears. The client's comms team hearts frames for social, approves photos for the press release and downloads single images or a ZIP. Make one gallery for the press and another for sponsors from the same project. CullTone doesn't email clients yet, so the link is yours to send. More on client galleries.

A conference with a headshot booth is two jobs: put the booth in its own project on the portrait preset, where the eyes and expression count for more. Live music after the dinner? The concert preset keeps coloured stage light.

Before you book it in

Can frames flow in during the event?

Not yet. There's no tethering, so you import cards when you're ready.

Can I watermark the gallery?

Not yet. Keep downloads off until the client has paid, and switch them on with one click.

What does it run on?

A Mac with Apple silicon. CullTone is in beta, with no Windows build yet.
